How can anyone continue with lockdowns after the medical people telling us we had to lock down are now saying "sure, protesting in huge crowds is good". They have zero credibility, their models were wrong and they are demonstrating that they are incompetent political activists more than they are medical people giving out scientific advice.
Coronaviruses subside at this time of year anyway. It will be back in the fall and then we'll have a full season of it and possibly more deaths than we've had, although not guaranteed - it could have reduced in strength as they tend to and also the big death numbers we've seen have more todo with politicians deliberately pushing infected people into care homes.

What we are likely seeing is a reprieve (lockdown and general awareness) and with the massive protest going on right now, most people want to talk about something else. There are still close to 900 deaths per day in the US and above 300-400 deaths in the UK.

@oppostate: if you didn't hear, the major hydroxychloroquine studies that said it was bad (from Harvard) have been retracted.
The study in the Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine (the biggest papers) were retracted due to massive bias on behalf of the authors and influence from at least one major drug company conglomerate (hydroxychloroquine is off-patent and unlike other medicine, anyone can produce it)

The study was BS and has been retracted. The drug is safe, it's given to pregnant women. The report was political activism that put people's lives at risk. They were willing to roll the dice on more people dying who maybe didn't need to, just to try and make "Orange man look bad". They ended up losing more credibility and Trump was shown to be right, yet again.
