I love to do "anti-JW" things, as if to say F U to the organization that stole my childhood. I have donated blood, voted, celebrated holidays, and smoked weed. Ha! I'm so evil!

The only thing I still dont do is eat black pudding.
But that's because I tried it and didn't like the taste... so now I have my own personal reason for not eating blood.
(It tastes like pennies, dont you think?)

Great point about the holidays. I’ve celebrated my birthday once, and Christmas once. My GF had a great time, and I love her, but I have zero emotional attachment to any Holidays.
Christmas was pretty expensive…

I'm with you on that DATA. My fiance' loves holidays and birthdays but I still struggle with having any sort of emotional attachment to them. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the attention on my birthday and receiving gifts at christmas, but I don't get all warm and tingly over it. I consider it a minor side effect of the cult.

I think that the workaholic upbringing, where we were constantly busy with "theocratic activities" and then I pioneered and worked and was a MS and everything just kind of translated into me now working too much and having way too many irons in the fire. I may have been somewhat naturally wired that way I guess, but nobody in my family was so I'm an anomaly. I do have a hard time not being busy though.

I don't celebrate my birthday. I don't even tell any one until after the fact, which is weird considering I love Christmas and Thanksgiving. Probably some self worth issue. Definitely not a beheading issue. lol
