Your analogy is off a bit. Would the car company be resonbible if the accident or explosion occured as a result of the owner tinkering with the car?
By the way, I do agree with you that the JW's REALLY mess up faith for people when they leave. Anecdotal evidence suggests that the majority that leave the borg end up agnostic or atheistic.

I guess we can agree to disagree as I think your analogy is a bit off. Is it possible for mankind to tinker with the core plates of the earth? If anyone did the tinkering it would have to have been god doing it either by design (a defect) or an after market change in design after mankind sinned.

Earquakes, Hurricanes, etc are Natural and have happened all through human history, so how can this be man's fault ?
Nothing man has done has caused these phenomenon to happen, they are a natural part of the Earth's cycle, so therefore, if God made the earth and it's cycles, then he must have created the exremes that go along with it.
That these natural "disasters" happen doesn't make the world imperfect. That we die is a result of our imperfection. But again, this is a beginning, not an end.
So if Adam hadn't sinned, and earthquakes etc are natural, would we still die if we were perfect, but got caught up in one of these extremes of weather?
Or would we, being perfect, be able to sense them coming and move away?
Or is it just silly to think that the creation account really happened?
Think aabout it. Would god know that the planet wouldnt be a paradise-looking place, but a place with hundreds of thousands living in a poor and overpopulated city, like the one in Algeria?
But what would that matter. If a perfect person was caught up in a natural disaster and a poor algerian, they would both be in danger, wouldn't they?
Natural disasters are just that, natural. If god created the world then he must have created the weather and the continental plates that cause earthquakes.
The world is constantly moving around and this has happened since it was formed and will always continue.
