Blues,Rock, Jazz, Acid Jazz, old Techno (don't like the new stuff), Alternative, Bluegrass, did I mention Blues, Tadap, Ska, Polka, Classical, Bhajans, Rai, Bhangra, World Music, Reggae, Folk, Punk, Heavy Metal, and even a little hip hop.

No offence, but my grampa listens to Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd. The rolling stones are all a bunch of grampas, too. It's not to say that their music is good, but it is very very old. Pink Floyd started back in the 70's, rolling stones, 60's.... you get the idea.

Nowadaze, what I listen to is considered "old". Like Pixies, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, I could go on. What is new one minute is old the next.

Pink Floyd goes back farther then the 70's. If you've never heard some Syd Barrett era Floyd, try and get some. It's well worth the search.

I also like 80's music and have the entire Time Life collection.

I have over 3300 MP3s but almost all of them (except maybe 50) are ripped from my own CD collection. I sometimes download MP3s but will buy the album if I like the artist enough. (Downloaded MP3s are usually only encoded at 128kbps and I prefer 320kbps.) If I download I use Kazaa Lite.

You have posted some great songs on the Vincent thread. I downloaded Deep Purple's "Perfect Strangers" after you posted the other night.

My tastes are all over the road. I like anything from System of a Down to classic country. I don't care much for modern country though. I really like the 80's, punk, new wave, alternative, classics from the 60's and 70's and even some 50's.

Too true. Are you the fellow that likes Roy Harper? If so I think that you might enjoy, 'Hatfield And The North' ( 1973 ), a much underrated band made up of a fusion of 'Soft Machine' and 'Caravan'. I have rustled up a link and sent it via PM for you. Best - HS

No, I think you may be thinking of the 'SoftBoys?' Soft Machine boasted a cutting edge keyboard player, Mike Ratledge and the zany lyrics and astonishing drumming of Robert Plant ( he fell out of window and was crippled a long while ago ). Like Caravan, they had numerous personnel changes, but always ended up with a very distinctive sound. I was honored to work with them ( Caravan ) briefly many eons ago. Do you know PFM? ( Italian prog. band )
