Anything but country, gospel, easy listening, muzak, death metal...Other than that I enjoy all kinds of different stuff....anything with lots of percussion in it is all good..I dig world music, and I would have to say my fave of all time is Ween.

    Sincerely,

I bought Shrek soundtrack last week when I was babysitting my 2 year old grandson. He loves that movie, so we had to have the music in the car. I love that soundtrack!!!!!!!

I REALLY enjoy Sinatra, except for his crooner days.

Jewel...No Doubt...Matchbox 20...Johnny Winters...Head East (who here knows Head East? I used to party with Roger Boyd, he was my grandma's neighbor)...Dean Martin...Eric Clapton...The Mammas and the Pappas...Hank Jr...the list goes on, I'm pretty eclectic.

That's Fat Sinatra, and he was ok then. I like RAT PACK Sinatra best.

When and if I can, I support my local independent musicians. I have stuff that probably many of you have never heard of.

I do like different things. My latest purchase: White Stripes (Detroit), and Funkstar Deluxe (Denmark) and some old Iggy & the Stooges.

I love the Velvet Underground, KISS, a variety of 60s & &70s psychedelic rock.

Modern stuff? Hmm...good question. I have always loved Canada's: Tragically Hip and Gordon Downie's solo project (Coke Machine Glow). Sloan (Halifax), Weakerthans (Winnipeg), Precious Little (Toronto band), and the list could go on and on.

The world famous WLIR on Long Island, New York voted in the most influential modern rockers over Memorial Day weekend. Since LIR was one of the first stations to ever play Duran Duran in the United States, the band were quite happy to come in #4! The Top Ten looked like this:

    1. Depeche Mode

    2. U2

    3. The Cure

    4. Duran Duran

    5. The Smiths

    6. Blondie

    7. New Order

    8. The Ramones

    9. The Clash

    10. Nirvana
