Love is what God is all about. "God is Love" remember? Love your neighbor, love God. For God so loved.... and on and on and on.
Love is the most irresistible force in the universe. It is the force that Gandhi used to make the British see it was "time they left."
Love is the answer. It appears to work slowly when in fact nothing is faster in helping you achieve your goals; and the supply of Love - being infinite - only grows. The more you give, the more there IS to give.
The trick is to make yourself like a clean and clear window in a room. When the sun shines into the room, it comes through not from the window. If you can make yourself "ego transparent" (you have given up your self to find your SELF) then this kind of love, agape, will flow not from you but through you - from the God who is Love through you to the object of your spiritual affection. You've really hit on something there Cruz.

The ego self must be given up so that the spirit-directed, egoless SELF can be found. You don't understand even the small things of the spirit, how is it you pretend to lecture anyone else about any thing else?

How do you know that this wasn't just a test? Put on the heirs of someone arrogant, obnoxious and dogmatic just to see how many people would respond in a negative way and come and critique me? The test being of those who themselves felt superior and condescending?
This type of test is the same as in the parable of the "Good Samaritan"; where the person on the street who was beaten poor and hungry is really the Messiah ("...if you did it to the least of these my brothers, you did it to me"). The rabbi and the priest looked down on him and passed him by. They didn't see or care about his humanity. BUT...both, if they knew this was the king, the messiah even, they would have opened up their homes and given him everything they had. A good deed, true, but with what motive? Perhaps not a bad motive, that of helping the king; but not as pure a motive as simply human love.
Thus God sometimes puts the message of TRUTH in the form of the underdog, the unlettered and maybe even unwashed just to show up the inflated ego of the worldly wise. That's because the wicked are usually overly concerned about appearances and "style" than the actual substance of things. If it's not packaged just right, they don't want to be bothered because they figure it's not authentic. Which is their gross error and really a reflection of what they are. Wonderful and beautiful on the outside, but like white-washed graves, full of corruption on the inside (I'm not speaking of you, by the way, just in general). So in this way, God can clean out the "chaff" since truly arrogant and superior minded ones will reject someone without the correct appearance, proving they are not truly interested in the message anyway, but only the appearance of the messenger.
That's why there are all those illustrations in the Bible about that rejected man whom the "sons of the kingdom" pass over. But big surprise! Those who actually take him in, like the Good Samaritan will get the kingdom. They won't know when they are doing it that they actually are dealing with the Messiah himself or one of his servants who has the truth. So you never know who someone really is, just because they happen not to be dressed in accord with their income level.
Sometimes, what you say about others says alot more about you than them...it works out.
