Once the officials found out that the cult was responsible for the salmonella poisonings, the restaurants were absolved of any responsibility. But sadly many of them ended up closing down anyway. They interviewed one of the owners, he said that one of his customers told him that even though they knew it wasn't anything he or his employees did, they still couldn't bring themselves to eat there again.
