Vicki Boer Update from Silentlambs

I spoke with Vicky this morning and the decision by the judge has been postponed
for thirty more days. This is difficult for the Boer family as this now means
ten months of waiting for a decision that was supposed to come around the first
of the year. For an abuse survivor this could qualify as cruel and unusual
punishment. There seem to be certain assurances with this latest extension that
an decision will be made for sure before the end of June.

My heart goes out to Vicky for bravely standing before the court and speaking
about her abuse in an effort to protect children. Her effort and courage in
speaking out gives hope to thousands that are afraid to do so. I am honored to
know her and for the reasons above Vicky is a silentlambs "courage award"
    recipient.

This has been a difficult time for her and her family, if you would like to send
a note of appreciation, or just a kind thought to them, please email to
silentlambs and we will be sure they get it. As in all things a kind word of
prayer for comfort or assistance would be appreciated if you feel you can do so.

Thank you Vicky, when you win this you are sending forth a shot that will be
    heard around the world.

I've always heard that the longer the judge/jury deliberates, the better for the one pursuing the case....ie - Vicky.

Since both sides have so much to lose.....and the WTBTS has so much more money on the line......hopefully this wait has been as hard on them as it has been for Vicky & family.

Even if the WTBTS is morally dead - they love their money, and that's the way to make them change. Money talks.

    Thanks Blondie!

One can only wonder...what the hell can she BE deliberating about or trying to decide after ALL this time?

My love and support for Vicki and her family goes without question, and this waiting AGAIN is unfair to her....and them.

My hugs and ongoing love to all concerned,

    Annie

I suspect that the judge understands that this case has VERY wide-ranging political implications, and is checking with political colleagues about the fallout of her decision. The media jumped on this case, and it has major implications for women, especially abused women. This is a big political issue and I'm sure the judge wants to take the large female constituency into account. On the other hand, religious corporations still have a lot of clout, and a decision against the Watchtower has dire implications for other religions, which the judge must also take into account.

If the judge makes the right decision, look out Watchtower!

I don't know much about Vicki's case, so I am curious if anyone know why charges were not made against the father?
