Do you think you will ever experience terrorism yourself?

I bet the people in the twin towers never thought they would be the victims of a terrorist attack.

Sometimes the stuff that happens overseas seem so far away. I look around my community and find it hard to believe that anything is going to happen here.

I live in southern Califonia, near San Diego, and who knows? Plenty of navy ships in the harbor, but I live fairly far away from that.

I am 90 miles away from downtown LA. I could see something happening there perhaps at the airport or something like that.

How about you? Do you live in an area that you are scared something might happen? Do you think the terrorists will be able to attack us on our homeland again?

For those that might pick apart my words, I am not talking about United States citizens doing things like Oklahoma City. I am talking about specifically the nut jobs in the middle east.

I figure my chances of being taken out by a nut job from Oklahoma or Oregon are exactly the same as the chances I'll be taken out by a nut job from the Middle East.

Fundamentalist nut jobs tend to be equal opportunity employers.

Will I experience terrorism? The chances are slim to none. I don't freak out about things as unlikely as being hit by Terrorists or lightning. Shit happens now and then, and I can't do anything about it, so I don't worry about it.

If you want to worry, I am sure I could provide you a list of 50 things to worry about, from cancer to SARs. Get over it.

Maybee not in Wichita, Kansas where I live at the moment but I think in time I will be affected by some sort of terrorist activity wether directly or indirectly. In time I will be shipped off for peace keeping and the rebuilding efforts in Iraq though I would find it difficult to call some sort of action against our troops while in Iraq a terrorist activity.

Most definitely. I'm American, live overseas and work for the government. It's virtually assured.

Theres always been nutters about, nutters = religion.

The world is a much smaller place and gets smaller as transport get faster and cheeper. There is an increased chance any of us could experience terrorism.

I live in Warrington. I have not been personally affected by the terrorism unleashed in Manchester and Warrington. I hope we won't experience anything like that again.

You have much more chance of being struck by lightning than being the victim of Terrorism...it's the fear of Terrorism which creates the problem...which is the point, isn't it?
