SCIENTOLOGY seems quite similar to the JW’s.

A few snippets from the site….

The "Church" of Scientology is famous for harassing their critics and defectors, and even their families and friends (indirect pressure). Many ex-Scientologists have stories about abuse and how the group pressure and fright of personal information being released, prevented them from blowing or going public with their inside information. Many also feel embarrassed when they learn the truth about the organization they donated money and a lot of their life to. For some fighting back is part of the "therapy" to recover and get back to a normal life in society, while others just want to put their time in CoS behind them and start fresh. Both could need someone to talk to, someone with similar experiences. For their own recovery and to warn others who might repeat their errors if not warned in time.

We are therefore faced with the challenge of providing channels for these people to get in communications with others out there that are able and willing to help. This is a difficult task since history shows us that CoS will do anything to sabotage this. There is reason to look specially out for those OSA-agents who are very often ´fishing´ for names of leaving people.

People should be free to believe whatever they want, including Scientology. What I have against CoS is its deceitfulness, its lack of compassion for its members (especially the hard-working staff), its aggressive hard sell, its arrogance, its attack on free speech, its litigiousness, its harassment of its critics, its lack of concern for families, its gross neglect and abuse of children, etc.

If only we could pool resources!

I am still looking through this site…..interesting….

Thankfully, with the advent of the internet, aspiring Scientologists no longer have to spend hundred's and thousand's of dollars to find out about Xenu and his crazy hijinx, and that my soul is trapped in a volcano somewhere. I thought the JW'S were screwed up, but these guys make the Watchtower look like sane, sound minded, well adjusted citizen's.

The mind control and practices in handling ex-members are very similar between the Scientoligest and JW's. At one time there was an organization put together based out of France called FIREPHIM. It had what was called minority religions as members. Some of the members included the JW's, Scientoligists, Moonies and more recently the Raelians.

The main purpose for this organization was to exchange information on legal procedures and control techniques in relation to ex-members. Even though the JW's were one of the founding members they have left Firephem to try and hide the fact that they were in an organization that was associated with other well known cults.

If you would like to do some of your own research on this just put in the words "Firephem, Jehovah's Witness and Scientology" into a search engine and enjoy yourself.

I think one similarity is that the WTBTS also considers apostates "fair game".

Yet another link to Scientology is Landmark Forum or Landmark Education. Onacruse and I attended one of their Seminar's earlier this year and were glad that our "cult" radar was in high gear, we bailed on the program less we be "programed".

Another link to Scientology, est, L. Ron Hubbard and Werner Erhard can be found here:

It's FIREPHIM not firephrem. Firephrem will take you nowhere. Get it right woman or I'll smack you up side your head.

    DJ,

Yes, Scientology is the religion of Tom Cruise, John Travolta and so many other Hollywood stars. Sad, huh?

    Katie,

My knees are shaking woman! Tell you what, I'll give you five bucks so you can go buy your own spellchecker. That way Craig won't have to use his brain when he gets home from work. I know how much he hates doing that.

    Big hug woman.

    Dave
