one of these days, I will rent Battlefield Earth. I absolutely will!

Ever wonder which practicing scientologist superstar will eventually crack and leave the cult? Sometimes I wonder if the Nicole Kidmans in this world will ever step up and give the lowdown on that cult (after all, she's not a member- so maybe someday?) Or will Mr. Cruise ever have a crisis of conscious? Of course, it'd require a conscience, and not just some Michael Jackson celebrity "get of cult free" card.

    Hey Prince, we're waiting...

L Ron Hubbard. Truly one of the greatest men in history. Here, he is a pic of him while he was researching in pursuit of a cure for tomato stress. Thanks to his efforts, now, Billions of tomatoes live a pain free and fullfilling existance.

    God bless you Commodore Hubbard!!

Commodore Hubbard had this thing about being a sea captain. The mythology in the church is that he was a war hero circa JFK in WW2, but apparently he was really just some petty officer.

When the persecution mounted against the church in the 60s L Ron got the bright idea of having his org run from the international waters so no country could charge him with anything shonky. Hence the "Sea Org" was born.

ChiKKy. Ive read a couple books is all and I know a bit about them. Not a lot, but a bit. One of the books Ive read is "Bare Faced Messiah" which is a very in depth expose of hubbard. As well as that Ive read a number of their own publications and Ive talked with Cyril Vosper who is a very famous Scientology apostate. Vosper was a big wheel in the Org in the 60s when L Ron was based in Saint Hill Manor in the UK. Nowadays Vosper lives in Melbourne here,in Flemington. So....there you go.

L Ron Died in 1986. He wasnt that old, about 72 I think.

I've been speaking to some of them but to other organizations too. What do you know about charges against him ? what does bare faced messiah say?

I just want to warn people to stay away from them. I had a "session" with them after leaving the borg, and it's all about seperating you from your money and lining their pockets. This organisation is all about money, a lot more so than the witnesses.

    Ballistic,

That is definitely the impression I got from reading the site link which I posted. Money, money, money... Quite sinister.

Thank ‘who-ever’ that there are only two ‘churches’ of theirs over here!

    Phew!

I tried to join the church to check it out from the inside but I stuffed up the interview. I was asked whether Id ever been on any kind of prescription medication prescribed by a psychiatrist. Soon as I told her "yes", interview over. She told me I couldnt cross "the bridge", I was unsaveable. Scientology uses such extreme methods of mind alteration , including, among other delights - "bullbaiting" (deliberately trying to upset people as a 'test') and "group accusation" scenarios, - that people have suffered emotional breakdowns.

My understanding of the churches dislike of psychiatry is that, In the 60s the Church was 'persecuted', among other places right here in Melbourne by the state government for their methods of conversion and indoctrination. There was a huge stink. Health professionals, including psychiatrists were involved in the 'persecution', hence the church doesnt like anything to do with mental health professionalism.

Because they cannot have members who have outside influence from professionals in the area of mind control. You would be considered a threat to them.
