The more clinical work goes straight onto the computer.
It seems the more emotional it is the greater my need to go the old fashioned route - must have something to do with accessing the other side of my brain
Where do I get ideas?
The answer to this question is that I pretty much subscribe to Stephen King's theory that stories are not created, they are more like artifacts that we uncover whole.

I should. I really should. I write short stories for myself and my friends. I am a member of a Christian writers's club, http://www.inscribe.org/ . Watch out if you link to the site, the music is set pretty loud. This organization has been invaluable in broadening my horizons and understanding the industry. It is the first place I will go when I am ready to publish.
I think it is easier to break in the industry if you start small, with magazines.
Writer's clubs are great. I belong to one called WACO Writer's Across Canada Online. A couple of years ago we collaborated on a book of xmas stories and had a book for sale online. This year it is going to press and we hope will be out before xmas.
They are a great source of information and support. Some are published authors in either books or magazines/journals. And some are aspiring and working away at the craft. - like me

Well, now that I've finally begun getting on my feet writing-wise, I'm trying my best to write a new book
Me too! It's all written, down to the last comma, (I've even begun a sequel), now the hard part is getting down on paper.
