We are redoing our beds a bit, winter has not been nice to them. I have been stuck in a rut too in selecting annuals. Hope to punch it up a bit.
Rotating veggies in our garden again. Ate all our pickled beets, time for a new batch. I wish I could build storage for our root veggies over winter, but no usable space. We'll be canning.
Last of sweet corn, rhubarb big enough to can sauce, horseradish, salsa.
We still get snow in early May.............yes

At 1300 feet, in the Sierra Foothills (California), we rarely get snow, but this wet winter has seen close to 100 inches of rain, which creates its own set of problems. The higher elevations, where all the famous ski resorts are located, have almost 200 percent of normal snowfall. Driving up there is winding your vehicle through high-walled tunnels.
Good luck and happy planting, fellow gardeners!
