WOW i enjoyed these pretty flower pictures, esp the roses.
My best thing this year is elephant ears in a barrel planter, that have come up on their own for several years. And some potted plants on the front porch, including ferns, red geraniums and a pot of some kinda little blue flower, from Home Depot.
There is so much shade around this house, nothing much but shady-loving plants can grow, but i don't want to cut tree limbs. I'm a shade-loving plant too, :-)

i bought this house a year ago--so the garden is largely previous owners efforts. there is a large bird of paradise yucca type thing----its flowered for the first time this year, according to my neighbour
