    FjToth,

Very good points. You speak truthfully and seem to be a good person. Forty years? Man did you pay your dues or what.

How Screwed Up Are You Because You Were A Jehovah's Witness? To answer that question:

I would have to say about average. I keep to myself, business and my research and development team. I do not trust very many people as my experience in JWs and of course dealing with the public, the military and the Government; have shown me that many if not most people will use you as an individual to get what they want and toss you away like everyday trash. And this is just the business world and the Government. There are so many different situations and various possibilities that anything could and does happen.

    Minimus,

Thanks. I see your point. Yes, there are some who just won't take any responsibility at all for their lot in life. It's very easy to say, "The Devil made me do it," "That's how I was raised," or, "It's not my fault."

Regardless of the damage done to our lives by the WTS, there is hope for a better life if we make an effort to move on and move up with the help of God and new friends and hopefully better circumstances.

Frank, I do appreciate your experiences as well as experiences. I don't think many might appreciate all that you know and have been through. Thanks for posting here.

I am more affected by disfunctional family issues. I think being raised a witness at the most basic level gave me some decent values and morals or a basis for forming my own beliefs and lifestyle. Although I am sure that can be said of any religion or belief system as there are many things I have written here that make me wonder about the WTS.

Pretty d@mn screwed up, but I have gotten alot better in the past year after seeing a counselor for a while. Between severe depression and feelings of inadaquacy and not feeling loved all because I wasn't the pioneer/bethelite my mother wanted, plus being told things like "the reason you are clumsy is be cause you have done something Jehovah doesn't like and you feel the need inside to confess it to me and until you do you will keep hurting yourself", I turned out pretty screwed up. My hubby says I turned out relatively normal considering. But what is relatively normal for JW?
