Crossroads,
First, I must say… My, my, my how we do jump around!!
Started with 60 Minutes and here we are on Charles Manson.
How in the hell did that happen? Second: I think you
have a Tim fixation. I'd get it checked if I were you.
Now -- to your note…
>>Tim is not as evil as Charlie Manson-Manson lives Tim was
>>fighting for this society to be FREE,or did that escape you
Charlie was, is, and probably will always be crazy. And in the
words of the esteemed Forrest Gump, "and that's all I've got
to say about THAT."
I guess it did escape me that Tim was acting to enhance my
freedom. Hmmm, that's funny -- don't feel any freer. The guys
who pulled the trigger at Ruby Ridge are sleeping peacefully in
their own beds tonight. Same for the men who drove the tanks
and torched the compound in Waco. What your "hero" Tim did
in Oklahoma City has effected those culprits not one wit. All
he did was kill some office workers and children who had
nothing to do with either ATF/FBI action. It is very likely that
even what ATF agents might have been officed at the Murrah
were ordered not to report to work April 19, 1995. It is
absolutely ABSURD to think that blowing up a building
enlarged anyone's freedom.
>>The light of history sure changes civil peoples perceptions.
It should. People are privileged to have more information as time
goes by. Some people, I say SOME people, adopt a more mature
and enlightened perspective as time elapses as well. These and
other factors cause initial perceptions to change over time.
>>Maybe just maybe in 30 years from now when the
>>government is in every aspect of our daily lives TIM
>>will then be looked upon as a HERO well maybe.
Fat chance. That ain't gonna happen, my friend, and I'm afraid that
I have to be the one to tell you this, but someone should and it may
as well be me -- if you really think that that boy will ever be a hero
except to some fringe wackos, then you have as many serious mental
deficiencies and gaps in logic as he does. Don't you understand? He
killed INNOCENT PEOPLE. People who had nothing to do with
what he was concerned about. He killed women and children who were
far, far away when the government was screwing up at Ruby Ridge
and Waco.
If you were to reread my original post in this thread, you'd see that
it had nothing to do with what we have been talking about here. It
really was about coming to know the full truth and the different
responses seemingly similar people have when they do. I used elders
as a target, but this study in human nature applies to many people.
That is all I meant to say. I did not intend to offer you the opportunity
to rise to the defense of a baby killer.
Put it this way: if your child had been one of those killed, or your
mom, or aunt, would Tim still be your hero? Would you still be
defending him tooth and nail?
peace,
todd
