I try to do something enjoyable everyday, even if it's just for a little while. Two things that are easy for me are reading and playing with my dog (Easy to do and inexpensive)

Today is a stress free day for me. For Mother's day, my son got my wife a dozen long stemmed red roses. He also got tickets to the Cinncinnati Reds game for us and him and his wife. (My wife is a big fan.) The seats are in the second row behind the third base dugout, the best seats we have ever had. Life is good.

Larc-Life would be great IF...............
Bench, Perez, Morgan, Concepcion,
Rose, Foster, Geronimo, and Senior
were there, but enjoy JR and have a great time.
All I can see is Fisk pulling that homer into fair
territory. That series ended in six games for me
tied 3 to 3 -

Crossroads,
Thank you for mentioning the names of the Big Red Machine. I thought of them tonight when I saw the penant type flags showing their proud moments. One great year, later on, was 1990. They were never out of first place all year, and they swept the arragant Oakland A's in the World Series, whose fans were making the sweep gesture during game one. They were right, just had the wrong team in mind.
The only player left from 1990 is Barry Larkin. He is one of the best shorstops ever, but he is getting older and is making more errors than usual this year. However, two weeks ago he got his first grand slam home run. He looked as happy as a ten year old kid getting is first hit.
By the way, even though the Reds lost and there was a light rain during most of the game, I had a good time. I brought my camera, since we were so close to the field and I think I got some good shots.
My wife, known here as Zazu, had a good time too. My son got the tickets from the internet at a discount price, and my wife and I are going to check out his source for future games.

Sorry folks,
I didn't mean to turn the stress reduction thread into a baseball thread.

Introspection
Seven, I'm still waiting for those pictures of your paintings. You're not one of those shy artist types are you? You know someone artistically challenged such as myself really couldn't even begin to criticize your work, and considering Larc's repeated praises I'm sure I will like them too.

Larc,
I didn't mean to turn the stress reduction thread into a baseball thread.
Too late Larc! Something that causes me great stress is both Bill Mazeroski and Pete Rose absence from the hall of fame. If Bill had been a Yankee or Dodger he'd have been there. Pete should be there. They can shove the induction up their keisters after they're dead-do it now!

"As an 8-year-old Yankee fan in 1960, I literally wept when Bill Mazeroski's home run cleared the ivy-covered wall of Forbes Field. 35 years later, I believe I have come to terms with it, and can see Bill Mazeroski for what he really was: one of baseball's all-time great second basemen."
