Cavemen evolve into Homosapiens over a span of 3,500,000 years.

How is it that this statement is stated as fact? If it is proven as fact, then is the Genesis account of Creation false?

In order to believe it must one believe in evolution?

The Discovery Channel is recreating the world of our prehistoric ancestors tonight at 8pm est Run..Hide..Fight..Survive..Walking With Cavemen.

What is the impact of all of this in your life?

Because of the evidences discovered about prehistoric humanoids.

The Genesis account? Which one? There are two and they differ. But a literal interpretation is known to be false even to the JWs (the earth is not 6000 years old). If you were to believe that homo sapiens have existed for more than 6000 years, then you would have to conclude that the JWs understanding of Genesis is also false.

You can believe in creation and still believe humans lived millions of years ago. But I think you'll have to acknowledge evolution to believe man came from another humanoid instead of being specially created by God. Some believe in evolution and God.

I'm probably going to watch it, but I won't be too surprised if it's more for entertainment value than scientific understanding.

What is the impact of all of this in your life?

Personally? None. I already acknowledge evolution.

Although you say Discovery Channel, it's actually made by the BBC. Come on - us Brits are allowed some pride!

It's a first class series - watch it. Have you also seen "walking with dinosaurs"?

Unfortunately, I missed "Walking with Dinosaurs". I wanted to see it and heard it was really good. If this is of that same caliber then it should be pretty interesting.

Yes, they're working their way through time.

    Coming up next will be

"Walking with Joseph Franklin Rutherford, Esq."

lol! When I heard that I instantly thought of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. "I am Bill S. Preston Esquire" Ah, what a great classic American film.

I missed the program on the Disco-very channel. But I am intrigued by the evidence that seems to mount concerning human evolution.

I watched the show and it was very good. One thing I noticed that as an ignorant Dub I didn't realize was that there were different SPECIES of humanoids living at the same time. So it was not like one line of unbroken cavemen to where we are now. Modern man today is not from Neanderthals at all...they died out. I never thought about it before, but they are right...in every genus there are many species--all except humans today---but there are proofs that other species did at one time exist....hmmmmmmm and modern DNA testing can prove it.

I was such a fool when I was a Dub.......will I ever catch up? Atleast to my ancestors?

I watched most of it, and learned things I didn't know. My son on the other hand knew exactly what the show was talking about, he has always had a scienific frame of mind. My sister kept calling me on the phone even though I told her that I wanted to see the show. I will watch it again when they reair it. One good thing about cable channels, they always show the same thing over and over.

When I was a kid growing up jw, we would not have been allowed to even watch the commericals for this show. So glad I don't do that to my kids.
