What does SOON mean to a JW

    Well the Jews only had to wait 7 years after they saw the disgusting thing in the holy place. JW's are going on 100 years.

    soon: 1. in the near future. 2. before the usual or expected time. 3. promptly or quickly. 4. readily or willingly. 5. eventually or ultimately

    ambiguous: 1. having several possible meanings. 2. obscure or indistinct.

    Anybody else have any other ambiguous terms the WTBTS likes to use?

    The carrot - "soon" is preached as a human understanding and timeframe

    The coverup - "soon" really means some time soon in "god" time (ie. forever)

    I think when they get a question like this, JW's always revert back to "In Jehovah's due time" because they always refer to the 7 creative "days" and that to Jehovah, one day to him is like a thousand years to us.
