One of the biggest criticisms that Watchtower has had against the Catholic Church, re the pedophile priest issue, is that the priests are not removed as priests but are simply reassigned. If the Jaracz issue is ever proven it would be a huge black eye on Watchtower because it not only reassigned Jaracz, but appointed him to the highest position in the Watchtower organization, the Governing Body.
Not that most JWs would ever be aware of it, since the information they get is so heavily controlled by Watchtower, but some would. The dollar amount of court judgments would would likely go up as well.
I tend to agree with an above comment that Watchtower will never release that database, even when court ordered. They would rather reach settlements with plantiffs. Even if they have to pay high settlement amounts it's better than if the database was known to have Jaracz or other high ranking Watchtower officials' names on it - that would be even more devastating to the Organization on a few levels.
