Atleast he isn't still in their bondage. He is able to make his own decisions with his own mind and not a jw robot. Look at the bright side>>>>you are only 39!! I am 42 with a six year old...lol....it gets hard crouching on the floor with all those little trucks....lol.. I'll be old when he is 18, enjoy this time!! He'll be home in time with hugs for you! Hey, you're allowed to feel this way, and I think it's only natural.

I'm sure it won't be long before you get a real letter or call with an update from Anthony.

He'll be fine; mind you, it's going to be a rough go of it.

When my brother was in Bosnia several years ago, the things he had to endure and deal with were horrible. But as a soldier (UN Peacekeeper), some bizarre and unusual conditioning kicks in.

Anthony has two wonderful loving and caring parents. That is obvious with the posts and comments I hear from you two not only hear, but when I've spoken to you two.

When his training is done, time for one big huge honkin' party in Kansas City.

Your son will be back home, safe and sound.

He's ok, contrary to what D.I.s appear to be (mean and uncaring), they really do watch out for their "boots" and want them to succeed. The toughest time, mentally is the first two weeks... after that the D.I.'s will become a little more 'human' . Know this, most D.I.s are very caring inside and will really look out for your son. The time will pass, each day gets better for him, because his ability to 'do' increases and when you next see him you'll be surprised about how much he's 'grown', yet still needs the love of his parents. In fact, he's going to come back appreciating you guys more.

D.E. ... the voice of experience....

If he sees it through to completion, both you and he will learn that he is stronger than either of you thought and capable of more than either of you imagined. But you're a GREAT Mom for caring as you do.
