That last pic, the one of the lobby at Brooklyn, looks more like a deserted airport terminal!!

The video duplication room. Cult minions in the laundry. Hey Gary, I think I'll go be sick now.

Ummm brothers. let me be rightly clarified... they actually altered this in the CD rom?

It was altered in the bound volume first. I remember the CO visiting us a couple of years after the WT was printed, and told us about the error, and told us to change our original WTs so they would read the same as the bound volumes.

BTW, I still have the original WT which has "in the 20th century" error.

    Winston,

I couldn't understand why anyone would be a fence sitter after they learned the real truth, but I certainly do understand now. I am sorry for your situtation, I really am. Having been through a divorce I know how devastating it is, to mind, body and pocketbook. I hope that you may lead her into the light. Proceed with caution as I see you already are. Wish I had a helpful suggestion. Plus now I have a new idea for a cottage industry--Meeting Bags!!! I can see it now, the outside having a lovely lions lying down lambs motif and for the inside--perhaps some of those charming Armageddon pictures from the new book for children, it would be great to puke on those.

If error is taught, no problem . . . .

    The Watchtower 1986

March 15 p. 19 Allow No Place for the Devil!

15 Yes, Jehovah’s people have had to revise expectations from time to time. Because of our eagerness, we have hoped for the new system earlier than Jehovah’s timetable has called for it. But we display our faith in God’s Word and its sure promises by declaring its message to others. Moreover, the need to revise our understanding somewhat does not make us false prophets or change the fact that we are living in "the last days," soon to experience the "great tribulation" that will pave the way for the earthly Paradise. How foolish to take the view that expectations needing some adjustment should call into question the whole body of truth! The evidence is clear that Jehovah has used and is continuing to use his one organization, with "the faithful and discreet slave" taking the lead.

Maggie, since "Apostates" have already been fully discredited by the society as liars and deceivers, the WTS can alter their history with impunity. The WTS can simply say the "Apostates" doctored the documents. Don't think they won't.

"Jehovah’s people have had to revise expectations from time to time"

About ten times, but who is counting. Sheesh. Theyve had more false prophecies than the Benjamin Creme cult.

. "Because of our eagerness, we have hoped for the new system earlier than Jehovah’s timetable has called for it."

False expectation to 'Edify' the believers. We are in the 'hope' business.

"does not make us false prophets"

God forbid! Who said anything about that? What on earth made you think about False Prophets?

"How foolish to take the view that expectations needing some adjustment should call into question the whole body of truth!"

Its a test brothers. Satan lurks in every corner of the questioning mind. do you REALLY LOVE Jehovah?? Or are you a fair weather believer? The Lord continues to sift his church as wheat.

"The evidence is clear that Jehovah has used and is continuing to use his one organization"

What "evidence" is that? continuous annual growth equates with divine approval. If it were not 'of God' it would not succeed. The same old arguements that Ellen G White used a hundred and twenty years ago

The Watchtower 1986 March 15 p. 19 Allow No Place for the Devil!

14 Finally, we might consider what the Society has published in the past on chronology. Some opposers claim that Jehovah’s Witnesses are false prophets. These opponents say that dates have been set, but nothing has happened.

    Did I miss something?
