Thank god. I can't understand why a blind man who can't hear won't wear his hearing aids. He is so totally out of it in any group because not only does he not know who is talking, he can't hear well enough to understand any of it.

Hey Princess & Mulan,
I remember my grandfather-in-law and his hearing aid. He didn't like it because it made sounds too distinct. Remember, the wearer has had bad hearing usually for years before getting a hearing aid. NOW they hear all the crap everyone else does.
He'd turn his down all the time and then go "Whaaaa? whaaaa? SPEAK UP!!!!" His wife would yell at him to turn his hearing aid up..............then he'd yell back "THEN I COULD HEAR YOU!"
60 yr. marriage btw. She died before him & he was lost without her. The ol coot.
