    Well, missy pissy, (Joy)

    Bedbugs bite you last night?

I'm surprised no one else has commented on this statement of theirs

    1. Perhaps there were other things to comment upon?

    2. Perhaps some of us just didn't realize this, eh? eh? (moi)

"Any technique that involves blood storage". DOH! All products of blood, whether whole blood or the "fractions" that are allowable are STORED. You don't drip it straight from soneone into another human.

Verrrrrry good point! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've never been in the predicament of receiving blood - so never thought about it DOH!

Waaaaaaaait a minute. Perhaps the loophole - "Any technique that involves BLOOD storage." - not allowed.

Any technique that involves **fractions of blood** storage is allowed?

Whatcha think? Or are you still pissy?

*cough*......back to my original question I was going to ask........

Page 1 of Alan's scan prints beautifully.

Page 2 prints waaaaay too large. I've tried everything I know - which is limited - with no success.

How can I get it to print to size?

And Joy's not allowed to pissily answer me.

    Thanking in advance,

Try printing the scan out in a photo suite type program. The one I have offers the option of printing out 8x10 resized image.

    wow, I came off pissy????

    isn't that interesting!

Just trying to point out the inconsistencies of the blood policy.

Yep, let everyone else donate their blood, store it, get those little fractions out of it so that the JWs can pick and choose what products they want! Ha!

In the meantime, JWs are confused about what they can and cannot have, thus allowing their precious lives to be sacraficed for some noble reason that they themselves can't even explain clearly.

<waving @ Waiting> *passing a fan to her* kind of hot today, huh?

Doctor to Patient: "You need to make this decision right away. Time is running out!

Patient to Doctor: "I'm trying to hurry, but I'm having trouble figuring out this @#$%& diagram!"

    Thanks Alan .

Nowadays I am amazed at the highhanded attitude of the WTS , This is their definition of acceptable and unacceptable and the congs, like the sheep they say they are, meekly follow.

I recall doing the annual item on the Service Meeting when the Blood Cards were renewed. We gave one to every publisher , told them what to put on it and expected everyone to sign it and carry it. Everybody did . I never heard of one dissenter, or anyone troubled by the arrangement. I wonder if that would still be the case now?

I used to point out though that the card also gave consent to "All necessary emergency treatment and surgery....as the doctors deem appropriate to maintain life" With the exception of blood. So no room for complaints afterward .

Of course I carried a card, and I believe I would have been steadfast , because I really believed it to be Gods will. .......

    Words fail me now.

    hey joy,

It's reading 96 degrees here. I'll blame everything (including me - thank you 6) on the weather. At least it's not raining!

lol - and I'm in air conditioning

    hey bluesbrother,

Of course I carried a card, and I believe I would have been steadfast , because I really believed it to be Gods will. .......

I believed it too - like the majority of us. But I didn't think about the possible inconsistencies - nor did I do any research on the history of blood being poured out, etc.

There's wonderful research on this site - thanks to persons like AlanF, Hawkaw, Maximus, and several other persons.

    We all were duped.

    Jeff asks:

"I am surprised that the Society is handing out something like this. It would seem to me that this could lead to some type of legal liability for them."

They aren't "handing it out" wink, wink. Notice that this "information" is printed on plain paper. It is not printed in their official publications, nor on their stationary. The first time I saw anything like this was many years ago when a HLC member handed it to me as we prepared to talk with my surgeon. Later, I asked some local elders if they were aware of the information that sheet contained. They confessed that they were not.

Things have't changed much. The average JW is unaware of the life/death issues that they many face some day and their local spiritual leaders aren't either.
