I'm afraid so.
So it has come to this?

I can't comment on this Valis, since I don't know the facts, but it is sad to see people quarrel with each other and see friendships fall apart like you say. Things maybe aren't as bad as you put it. The only way to know is to have an honest talk with them.
Maybe some said they would go to the apostofest, not really knowing if they could go. And some can change their minds also.

RAYZORBLADE
Hey Valis. I was totally unaware of any 'problems'.
I would LOVE to go, and if I do, it'll be last minute. It's more a financial concern than anything.
I have had lovely e-mails/private messages encouraging me to go. Even Xenawarrior has sent me a cute message some time ago. I suspect she's incredibly busy, and no doubt this Apostafest will be a blast! Oh...people, if Rayzorblade had wings.....I'd be flying over Lake Michigan with beer clutched in my toe holds, for all my apostate buddies.
If I can get there, I will. If I can't, trust me, nothing personal, absolutely not.....I'm dying to meet so many people who I know will be there.
Best wishes to everyone, and safe journey to and from the Green Bay gathering.
xo, to Xenawarrior

It is indeed a sad thing to hear this. I had no idea either that there was any trouble. I hadn't planned on making the trip up to GB but I'm going to see about getting enough drive time off to make it. I know a good time is to be had and I'd like to return the favor to those that traveled all the way to Dallas to help make this fest the success that it was. ....how farve is GB from Dallas anyway?
So, any other DFW area folks driving up to GB?

There is 1176 miles from Dallas to Green Bay. Rand McNally trip maker told me

Actually, I'll be in MN during the festivties date, but I will be visiting my Daughter and Grandkids, otherwise I would love to come and meet many of you folks. While I'm in MN I am hoping to meet some here that are not going to GB. Hopefully next year I will be able to schedule my trip to the US so I can make an apostofest. I onl;y make a trip back to the states once a year so I have to make the most of it with my family.

Not sure what's going on, but I SWEAR that the only reason I cannot make this (and I had said so when I originally decided to go) was that there was a special center that we were hoping to get our son in, one that would be able to concentrate on his occupational & speech therapy needs. When we got the "okay" last week that he would be accepted, due to that and my husbands own schooling (22 credit hours) - I couldn't leave for a weekend & leave my hubby to do all the kiddy care & kiddy carting around, as well as some of the seminars we will be attending are also on Saturday mornings. For my son's sake, I'll be damned if I were to be selfish enough to come & party. To much at stake.
XenaWarrior - I know how hard you worked at this, I'm truly sorry that I had to cancel.

petty...I wasn't speaking in your general direction. Doing more for your child is only a good thing. Much good thoughts for that. The real petty grudgers know who they are.
