We could go on all day throwing vindictives about one side or the other. The simple fact is that both are resorting to tactics that are self-righteous BS! One cannot condem one side and ignore the issues on the other. Like the Hatfields and McCoys, they are both guilty and need their collective ears boxed.

I want to go on record as saying that I in NO WAY approve of the way some of the Palestinians resort to terrorism toward their oppressors. IMHO, if you're going to be a martyr--be a real martyr. If you look at the example of Tibet and India during their occupations, both are/have been successful in rallying a lot of global support without lifting a single finger, and in the case of India, was successful in liberating itself without war and/or terrorism.

That being said, the Palestinians ARE being oppressed and would probably fight back with an actual army if they had one--or could afford one.

    Here's some interesting reading:

What I find unsettling is that most THINKING people on both sides wish for a peaceful resolve, and see that both sides require a good 'ear boxing', as it were. BUT, the U.S. is completely biased toward Israel, even supplying them with $6 billion a year in aid. This situation needs an unbiased arbitrator...and the U.S. is not qualified to do that, in light of its foreign policy right now.

I have never understood why the U.S. ALWAYS supports Israel in EVERYTHING.......You want to put an end to terrorism??????? Make friends with the Arabs....What's Israel gonna do?

    Thanks,

    Integ.

    Good point, Integ.

But Israel can do a lot more than you may think. For instance, it is top Zionists that bankroll senators in the White house. Without their support, those senators are nobody. Secondly, zionist world media have a nasty habbit of turning people against different people.

The Clinton Lewisnky scandal was a well kept secret only known to zionists and a few people down at the FBI until Clinton upset Israel by trying to bring peace to the region. As soon as that happened, bang ! The affair went public. It has happened time and time again this way.

Top Israeli's have their fingers in many American pies, and for any American to stand up to this would mean suicide for that persons career.

Israel has more sway on these issues than some people may think.

Instead of accepting this, Israel has declined it. Rather, they are prepared to continue targeting more innocent Palestinians in the region.

i hadnt seen anything to that affect....any links?

Before the Jerusalem talks, Sharon and Abbas stood side by side at a news conference, shook hands and promised to move forward on the U.S.-backed "road map," each pledging they want peace with the other. http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/07/01/mideast/index.html

Unfortunately, history will repeat itself and brutality from both sides will resume.

im sorry, but i dont see anything in that article to back up this statement:

Instead of accepting this, Israel has declined it. Rather, they are prepared to continue targeting more innocent Palestinians in the region.

heres what i found on the truce, from today:

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Israel on Thursday responded to a pair of recent attacks on Jewish settlements in Gaza by temporarily blocking off a portion of a north-south highway in the territory and lodging a formal complaint with Palestinian authorities for truce violations, Israeli military sources said.

Earlier this week, the Israeli army pulled out of northern Gaza and dismantled checkpoints along the highway as part of a truce with Palestinian militant groups.

Four Jewish settlers in Kfar Darom were lightly injured late Wednesday, according to the sources, when three anti-tank missiles were fired into the settlement in southern Gaza. Israeli soldiers fired back, but there were no reports of Palestinian casualties.

i think you mustve been confused when you were declaring which side was rejecting the truce.
