I chose the name for this thread to help readers to see clearly which is in line w the available facts; the bible, or science. Thanks alan, abaddon and others for the great illucidation of both evolution theory and how it evolved after darwin, and for a possible mechanism through which the universe may have been born. Also, thankyou dansk for adding a question that i have sometimes entertained also.

While many keep looking for answers, others tire of it and settle down to make the best lives they can. A few turn inwards, and feel their own connection to the universe, thus at least feeling like they belong, somehow. The point is that everyone is free to do as he/she pleases, being god, so to speak, in his/her own life.

Dr Watson Said: Mr Kim, I was mostly joking, but I enjoyed your answers nonetheless! The question about 'making god out of nothing' was particularly asinine.

My main point was that just because man cannot reproduce something in the lab doesn't make the theory invalid. Man only has a theory about how black holes form. (A very good theory.) We have never seen a collapsed star turn into a black hole before our eyes, and we certainly couldn't reproduce the birth of a star or black hole in a lab. Answer: You are correct we as humans, "have never seen a collapsed star turn into a black hole before our eyes, and we certainly couldn't reproduce the birth of a star or black hole in a lab. " I am not talking about in a room in a lab. I will have to let the subject go and you can venture a guess to what I really mean and what I am not allowed to say.... The truth is stranger than any science fiction we have read................. Laters, KIM

"Not allowed to say"? From what I've seen, there are no limits to what can be said on these forums.

The truth is stranger than any science fiction we have read.................

I'm going to start calling you Fox Mulder.

SS...People are free to make decisions. It is also true that those decisions affect society. It it only good and wise for all of us to desire those choices to be informed ones.

BTW..the newest particle accellerators being built will be able to create mini-black holes routinely for study broadening our understanding of subatomic physics.

    Saint Satan,

What annoys me about Creation / Evolution arguments is that people assume that there are two options

    1. Creation as described in the bible

    2. Evolution as described by scientists

That simply isn't true. I am of the opinion that God is involved in the evolution of the universe, therefore my beliefs reject the biblical account and accept evolution but are still creationist (sort of). God is constantly developing and the universe is developing with God, IMO.

Sirona...you have chosen a very popular path. A path which denies scientific method and inspiration.

Like maybe god is evolving too? Why not? It follows that evolution has been and is going on in other dimensions and wavelengths, along w the coming onto existence of the dimensions themselves.
