BIG DEAL EXPERIENCES

I can't get over the the lack of depth that exists in the world of JW experiences. Years ago, the typical experience was how a person spoke the "truth" to one person and the result was that 10 Bible Studies were started and 7 got baptized in less than 6 months. Notice the experience from the Czech Republic that I will abbreviate from the 8-1-03 WT......2 Witnesses talked to a lady through a closed door. After a while, the door opened up slightly, a hand reached out and grasped the magazines. The pioneer decided to call back but the same thing happewned for a year. The sister prayed to Jehovah for help to reach this woman. This time she asked the woman friendly questions such as "How are you? How did you enjoy the magazines?" At first, there weas no response but after a few more visits, the lady began to warm up. One time she opened the door wide, but the conversation was brief. Since the woman was reluctant to talk to the Witness at the door, the pioneer wrote her a letter to explain the purposes of the visit and to offer a Bible study. Finally, after a year and a half of patient effort,a Bible study was started. "She was surprised and encouraged when the woman later told her:"I have believed in God since the time you started to bring me the magazines."........................AND THAT"S HOW THE EXPERIENCE ENDED!!!

    LOL -- "Big deal!"

That woman who got the Watchtower magazines in the Czech Republic -- she sounds like an anti-social shut-in. That's the kind of people the JW's are getting? I wonder what kind of publisher she'd be, if she converted to dubdom?

That's what I think is so unbelievable. There is no mention of anything spectacular happening here other than, she opened the door a crack and acknowledged a letter......BIG DEAL!!!

Here's another BIG DEAL EXPERIENCE......This is now a standard type of assembly experience. 13 year old Debbie used to get involved with the world by going to parties, dating kids in school and even trying smoking "once". Debbie knew thar her conscience was feeling bad but she was so pop[ular with the other kids. Then one day she read in a Watchtower study how we can't lead a double life. She prayed to Jehovah to help her overcome her weaknesses and determined to never associate with worldly kids ever again. Today she is home-schooled at at 17 is regular pioneering with her Ministerial Servant husband........Do you remember any similar experiences???

Then everyone that hear's this will follow suit and then a WT. article will come out and say how stupid it is.

Here's another BIG DEAL EXPERIENCE. From the 7-22-03 AWAKE, "A reader from New York compared the book DRAW CLOSE TO JEHOVAH to a letter from a loved one, explaining:"Each chapter just stirs the heart and fills you with love for Jehovah." She added: "Now that I have reached the end of the book, I can't wait to start reading through it again, the way you would a letter from someone you dearly love.".......A reader from Kansas observed:"I look forward to reading more each morning, and I will read it over again many times.".............Aren't these just beautiful expressions???

I thought drawing, or any artwork, coming close to depicting Jehovah himself was blasphemy, since Jehovah is too glorious to be imagined.

Drawing a picture that is "close to Jehovah"? How can the WT Society even advocate such a thing?

I do think they have depictions of the Heavenly Father in different WT. publications.....but I do get the joke......Now give me a BIG DEAL EXPERIENCE. You know something that is not really an experience and leaves you scratching your head.

Wait a minute. She is being home schooled at 17, by who? Her husband? Does he tuck her in at night too?

And let's look at this a little closer. Since she's being home schooled, doesn't that mean that she couldn't stop associating with the kids who liked her so much? Doesn't that mean there was no other way to keep her down, except by keeping her home and under close supervision?
