Thanks for the post. There are a couple coming to my house once in a while. I've been asking questions about the changes in the society's methods but haven't mentioned the internet. Have been wondering how to get into something more serious but afraid they'll get scared off. They still bring me the mags. which I want since you can't get 'em by subscription anymore. Your post was insightful.

This made me remember a call I made with another elder , back in the 80's or 90's . The young woman had listened and I offered some literature, She said ok,if I would take something from her church. It was only a list of Scriptures for daily reading, for goodness sake!
I was about to take it and "Place" a pair of mags, when my rulebook minded companion butted in and said that we will never take literature from another source. I could not argue with him on the doorstep.
Thinking back, he did that girl a favour!
she may read it I wouldn't have when i was one. It took somone very close to me and in the borg (my mother) to point out illogical things i slowley came to realize it was not the truth (several months later) so she may peak or she may dis regard it and try to persuade you to take borg literature. I'm going with the small peak then try to assimalate.
She wont read it. She wont even want to put it in her purse. Most jw are very afraid of apostate literature.
I remember the first time I went to an apostate site. I was shaking and my heart was pounding. I would look over my shoulder and I was in my own home.
