Kinda makes a mockery of that scripture that states that 'God is not partial' doesn't it?

How come we have immortality removed for our (inherited) sin and Satan doesn't? NOT fair.

A certain deal for Satan and his demons, a different deal for men, a different deal for women, a different deal for those unfortunate enough to be born in a Muslim country...

God is as injust as men...one rule for the 'rich' and another for the 'poor'.

Just a small clarification on this, Derek:

The Revelation Climax book takes this as meaning that he will not be tortured but destroyed because the Hebrew word sometimes translated as the Greek word here translated "torture" can sometimes mean "destroy" (or something similarly nonsensical). How somebody can be destroyed "day and night, forever and ever" is beyond me (in any language)

Actually the Climax book said that the Greek word translated "torture" can also mean "confine". So the WT writer explains that Satan will be "confined" forever in death, unable to harm humanity. Of course, they need to explain it that way, otherwise they'd have to teach that Satan would somehow remain alive forever.

Gatekeeper! Where have you been? We need more insightful comments like this:

Jesus said we are to love our enemies.... Satan is his enemy, thus, no Armageddon. If we don't get to destroy our enemies, either does he.

I love that line of reasoning!

But you know, since God has put him in charge of all things, Jesus gets to do pretty much as he damn well pleases. He can preach enemy-love, but when it comes time for acres of blood to be spilled, Jesus will be chomping at the bit (as per Revelation).

Kind of reminds you of some of the JW leadership, eh? Do what we say, not what we do!

badolputtytat-------- But after making that post, I asked myself this : 1. if sex is only for the continuation of the species and 2. there is no death and 3. pleasurable sex is un-natural..... then 1. Would man have testicles? (to create the little buggers) and 2. would women have ovaries? and 3. would intimacy and its meaning change? answers welcome. I kinda prefer the thought that I would continue in a much different form than a physical body anyway... not "heaven" but just different. energy? You know... "energy never dies" blah blah blah

As I said before ,I think the possiblities are endless. I don't think that americans teach children that sex is bad but only want to educate them that there is a time and place for it . It's really hard to get the message thru as the media seems to exploit sex to sell things and most shows will make casual sex look like it is harmless. I don't envy parents at all in their task to convince children that are going thru puberty that there is more to life than sex . America does seem to have some pretty strict laws on when you are old enough or responsible enough to be married and lawfully have sex .I agree with that . There are way too many unwanted children as it is from the casual sex and alot of times abortion is a result . Marriages seldom work out as well.
