I had a seasonal job when I was a witness. I was aux. pioneering 5 months a year while I was off, and when I was working, I made only 4 or 5 hours a month in the field service.

So one year, I signed up to be an aux pioneer once more, and one elder didn't want to sign the paper, and didn't want me to be an aux. pioneer because he didn't like to see me doing many hours in my off season, and so little hours in the field service while I was working. he wanted me to be more balanced in my hours.

So when I was refused as an aux. pioneer, that got me angry, and I never wanted to be an aux. pioneer anymore, and I never did after that. From then on, I was doing less and less hours in the field serivce. One month I made only 1 hour in the field serivce, and 2 elders came over to talk to me at home. they said, " you were 1 hour away from being irregular". How terrible.

I told them, that I was working 60 hours a week, at all kinds of hours, and they said quit your job if you can't go in the field service more than that. I never would quit a 20$ an hour+ job knowing it was only a seasonal job. From there I saw how manipulative they were. That was my turning point.

    It was downhill after that.

That wasn't a yes or no question

lol like some others I lied about my service at first...then lied the numbers lower and lower...so by the time I quit totally...they knew I was weak...poor little sheep that lost her way ...I told them I was on a "break"...re-assessing my life...

    hey it worked for me.

In my early twenties, I was in a new hall, and only went out in service once or twice a month.

When I then moved out of state into a new hall, I only went maybe once a month, then moved to a new hall, and only once every few months.

Now, of course, I get to enjoy my weekends.

So, for many of you, you just slowly but surely stopped reporting time. Many were irregular yet some just simply stopped.I guess it's all part of the "fade".

So min you were an elder...what did you do when you saw people like us? Did you try to herd us back into the flock???

Were you brother nosey coming over to my house trying to find out what "stumbled" us and trick enourage us to plug back into the matrix??

    hhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmm???

When I saw people like "us", I knew there was a good reason for not attending or stopping service. Usually, I would go on a "friendly" shepherding call with another elder or ministerial servant. I would simpl tell them that they have been missed and wondered whether or not there was anything we could do. Most of the publishers liked me and I purposely did not want them to feel uncomfortable. So they'd usually open up and begin to tell me about elder jerko that was harrassing them and then say that as long as he was around, they wouldn't go. I would smile, tell them I understand and leave by saying that if they changed their mind, we would be there for them. Then I'd go home and make myself a martini and wonder what the hell I was doing.
