, even only 2 years ago the WTS would at least put an asterisk and in the footnote refer the reader to another WTS publication. No longer. I guess they figured out the JWs never look it up, except for that one goody-two-shoes sister with the prune face.

kgfreeperson , the elders have long combined field service with shepherding calls. Pioneers do that too but it was called "making an encouraging call" on a missing JW. They count the time too.

1. SOON

2. NEAR AT HAND; SO CLOSE AT HAND

3. EVIDENTLY

4. APPARENTLY

We just don't know the meaning of those words, otherwise we would not use them.

Also, without them, we would have no doctrine at all.....

ohappyday, great catch on those buzzwords. Likely and "it appars" are 2 more.

I always say it translates to: The Bible doesn't say but we are the FDS so it is just as good, but just in case our "predictions" don't work out, we can say we only said "apparently."
