The reason that some get visits and others don't, can be to do withe instruction that elders received in
1991 letter to all bodies of elders

Who should be visited?
Review each disfellowshipped person known to live in the territory, if one is an active apostate, is trying to lead others into sin, is living in a sexually immoral living arrangement, or has made it known that he wants nothing to do with God's people a visit will not be made.

living in a sexually immoral living arrangement
So all we need to do to insure no visits is put up a sign that say "House of hores"! lol
I thought every one in the congregation was supposed to get a sheperding call once a year.
Four years since my last shepherding visit...hmmm...I don't think they're coming...and I bought an angel food cake for them too. Oh yes, Unbeliever...they didn't call your sister first because they probably wanted to catch her in her debased state...you know, smokin' drinkin' and fornicatin'.

I was very well known in the circuit and liked by alot of the dubs. When I did the quick fade, not at one time did I ever receive a visit or phone call by the local elders. I even lived three doors down from a elder in my cong. and he never once visited me. What loving shepherds!!! Aren't they supposed to care for the "flock"??
I was not contacted at all until 9 years after I stopped associating. I gave the two visiting elders 10 questions I wanted answers to. They never did reply and after 8 more years I contacted one of them to find out how he was doing on my questions and to add 40 more. I am certainly identified by them as an apostate and I plan on increasing those activities they fear. They are my enemies. They have worked hard to achieve that designation.
I think the cement that set the mortar was the message sent to me by several local members after I shared the experience of the breakdown of my family due to the Jehovah's Witnesses with the local daily newspaper. The message was "We didn't like you when you were a Witness!". I had that feeling all along and I was not really shocked to hear it from those very people I had associated with 5 meetings a week for years. Still, it was a confirmation to me that I had made a pragmatic decision on a social level.
It all has carried a heavy price.
The last elder who called my home asking for a family member hung up on me when I asked for clarification on a couple points he raised at the time of the request. They don't like being confronted with their own library nor do they like being questioned about their dogmatic claims. They don't confront strength very well. GaryB
I have not seen a jw from 1982- 2003 at my door. I live in a city. And live in the same place since 1982.
Could it be because I am DA'ed and my door is mark?
Do elders visit those who have been DA'ed?

Thanks Cas now I know why they have not stopped. Since I work for a religious agency they view me as an apostate.

I think you will see more of this in the next few years mainly because ............
attendance is dropping, "new ones" coming in at a very ssssssssslllllllooooooowwwwwwww pace.
I think the congregations and the Watchtower are a little bit worried.
they think it's easier to bring someone in who already nows the basics, then to bring in someone from scratch.
