I think in my cong. it would probably be looked down on, even if they didnt say anything to you. hugging is only done between people of the same sex, if there was a brother or sister that hugged they'd probably be counseled on it. and yea, no leaving the brothers or sisters alone in the car by themselves. there was an elder not too long ago that had to come over to my house and talk to my sister, and i was supposed to sit in the same room with them, since i would of been the only other person home at the time. and my sister wanted to know why i had to sit with them, i made some comment about how the witnesses were afraid that if the two of them were alone he might jump on her, my mom had a fit, lol, now they just think i have a dirty mind, but that is what they are afraid of isnt it?

I've noticed 2 completely different mentalities on this subject up to now. Some say of course you can receive and give a massage to a person of the other sex. And on the other hand, some can't even hug, handshake, or be alone in a car with a brother or sister of the other sex.

i think its ok if they are in the same car with a person of the opposite sex, just as long as there are others also there, they just cant be alone in the car by themselves.

ohhhhhhhhh in cars with girls its such a scary thought................. i was going out in service with a couple sisters in a darkly tinted suv one time. elders wife pulls up and is waiting at the hall for her biblestudy, and there i am leaving the meeting for service with a young goodlooking sister with me....................... so she calls her husband and he calls my dad and is all up in my ass over it. so my dad asks how i did in service that day and i said who all went out and where we worked.......... all not at homes naturally and didnt get to collect much $$ for the borg. so he starts laughing cause in the front seat with me was hot young very white and blonde sister and in the back seat is the older black sister who is wearing black with black sunglasses on................... so she actually blended with the tinted windows and the dark grey interior. cant win for loseing i guess lol

In my old Hall there is a very lovely, married sister who is an LMT. I would get a massage from her every three weeks. Her father and uncle were elders. No one ever said a word. She quit me when I went renegade. Now a worldy women gets my $60 per. Maverick

Well apparently, my cousin who is an active JW is going to school to become a licensed massage therapist. As far as I know, it's "A-Ok" with the elders.

My JW ex-wife went to a massage therapist for 10 months after a car accident we had. Of course, in her case, it turned out not to be the garden-variety, innocent, feel-good massage, but (as she later found out) actually qualified as porneia.

Once she found out that it was actually porneia, she promptly divorced me using that as her grounds. The elders went along, because they "just wanted her to be happy."

We've been apart going on 3 years. I've remarried, she hasn't. I'm much, much happier now; last I heard, she was still miserable.
