I don't know. It's just so obvious and boring as far as conspiracy theories go. Where is the creativity?

If anyone bumped off Dr. Kelly, it would be far likely to have been the BBC than government. This is because what Dr. Kelly told the Commons Committee showed the BBC to have been the ones doing the sexing up, and supported what the Government was saying.

Even the BBC reports have shown this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/3082007.stm

A few extracts from the above report:

Did Dr Kelly believe he was the source of Andrew Gilligan's reports?

Dr Kelly told the MPs he did not recognise Mr Gilligan's reports and evidence to the committee as being from his conversations with the BBC correspondent.

    alt
He said: "It is not a factual record of my interaction with him, the character of it, which is actually difficult to discern from the account that is presented there."

He added later: "From the conversation I had with him, I do not see how he could make the authoritative statement he was making from the comments that I made."

Mr Gilligan had described his source to the committee as a contact of "long-standing".

Dr Kelly said the first time he remembered meeting Mr Gilligan was in September 2002.

He said: "What I had a conversation about was the probability of a requirement to use (chemical and biological) weapons. The question was then asked why, if weapons could be deployed at 45 minutes notice, were they not used, and I offered my reasons why they may not have been used."

(Dr Kelly said he believed they were not used because of the weather conditions and then the breakdown of the Iraqi command and control structure)

He was later asked if he at any point named Mr Campbell or said anything which might have led Mr Gilligan to report that Mr Campbell had wanted to change the dossier or "sex it up".

Dr Kelly said: "I cannot recall that. I find it very difficult to think back to a conversation I had six weeks ago. I cannot recall but that does not mean to say, of course, that such a statement was not made but I really cannot recall it. It does not sound like the sort of thing I would say."

Later Dr Kelly was asked if he had suggested to Mr Gilligan that the dossier had been embellished.

Dr Kelly replied: "No, I had no doubt that the veracity of it was absolute."

He went on: "All I can say is that the general tenet of that document is one that I am sympathetic to."

"When I reflected on my interaction with him and realised the balance between the general conversation and the very specific aspect we are now discussing today, which was a very, very minor part of it, I did not see how on earth I could have been the primary source.

"I did not see how the authority would emanate from me."

Asked whether he was the source of a reported comment that the claim that Iraq could deploy chemical and biological weapons within 45 minutes of an order to do so had "got out of all proportion" because of a "desperation" for information, Dr Kelly said: "I find it very difficult. It does not sound like my expression of words. It does not sound like a quote from me. "

So, here we have Dr. Kelly blowing the claims of the BBC out of the water and agreeing with the Government, yet it's the Government who the whackjob conspiracy theorists will say killed him. No doubt we'll soon be hearing eye-witness accounts of Reptilian Shapeshifters leaping out of the bushes and slitting Dr. Kelly's wrists with the edge of a razor sharp tongue.

    Microbiologists' Deaths
    And Murders Echo
    Bizarre Marconi Deaths

    By Ian Gurney
    3-27-2

In light of yet another death of a microbiologist, this time Doctor David Wynn-Williams, killed when he was struck by a vehicle whilst out jogging this week (http://www.t hetimes.co.uk/article/0,,60-248720,00.html) it is interesting to take a look at a similar set of circumstances that occurred fourteen years ago in the United Kingdom and was not widely reported in the United States press. Once again it involves the deaths of a number of scientists, some in "unusual" circumstances. The report below was taken from The Independent newspaper of August 26, 1988..
"The police said it was suicide, and no doubt they were right. Ex-Brigadier Peter Ferry, a marketing manager at Marconi's Command and Control Systems centre at Frimley, Surrey, had apparently killed himself by inserting power main electric wires into his mouth and then turning on the power.
The method chosen was perhaps marginally more grisly than in the case of several other Marconi employees. In 1986, for example, Ashad Sharif, a computer analyst who worked for Marconi Defence Systems in Stanmore, Middlesex, tied one end of a rope around his neck, another to a tree, and put his car into gear. Two months earlier, the body of Vimal Dajibhai, a software engineer responsible for checking the guidance systems of Tigerfish torpedos for Marconi Underwater Systems, was found under Clifton suspension bridge at Bristol.
In March 1987, David Sands, a project manager working on secret satellite radar at Marconi's sister company Easams, in Camberley, drove up a slip road on his way to work and into a cafe at an estimated 80 mph. A year later, Trevor Knight, a computer engineer at Marconi's space and defence base in Stanmore, died in his fume-filled car at his home in Hertfordshire. Earlier, two other Marconi employees, Victor Moore, a design engineer, and Roger Hill, a draughtsman, had killed themselves, both seemingly as a result of work pressures.
There have been at least half a dozen more untoward deaths among defence scientists and others working in the defence field. Marconi is not alone, but it is well in the lead. The best efforts of investigative journalists have failed to establish a link either between the various deaths or between the deaths of the Marconi staff and the Ministry of Defence inquiry, now two years old, into some £3billion worth of defence contracts awarded to GEC-Marconi. "
Interestingly, Marconi was recently declared virtually bankrupt after it's shares fell below "junk" status on the UK stock exchange. Both the chairman and C.E.O. resigned and a great many employees have lost their jobs as the share price fell from a twelve month high of £4:45 ($6:60) to only 5 pence. Marconi had, over the last few years, moved into the Telecoms sector and suffered when the downturn in TMT stocks came along last year. A company once worth billions is now worthless, somewhat like Enron. What is surprising in the light of this scandal is that so far it appears nobody connected with company has been found dead, although there are some disgruntle shareholders who must wish the company's ex-chairman, Lord Simpson of Duckenfield, would do the honourable thing.

hm, it's interesting. I bet they were calling it a 'conspiracy theory' in 1982 when people were calling the suicide of Roberto Calvi a murder. now 21 years later they are calling it murder. nahh

ROME - Prosecutors investigating the apparent 1982 suicide of Roberto Calvi, the Vatican ( news - web sites)-connected financier implicated in Italy's biggest postwar banking scandal, have concluded he was murdered, reports said Wednesday.

    AP Photo

Four suspects in the case, including an alleged mafioso, have been notified of the conclusions but have not been indicted, the ANSA news agency reported. Their lawyers have 20 days to respond, it said.

RAI state television said prosecutors believe the Mafia killed Calvi because he lost their money and knew too much about their operations. Legal officials were unavailable Wednesday to confirm the reports.

These days conspiracy theorists have become sophisticated enough to so that even if David Kelly was shown to be murdered it could be pinned on either Blair's supporters or those who wanted it to work against Blair's supoorters. Conspiracy believers are so plentiful now that the conspiracies lose their meaning.

I put up a post (linked below) about how some senior Bush Administration officials have just ruined the CIA career of the wife of the man who originally investigated and then pointed out Bush's use of faulty evidence. Her CIA career is easily ruined and the White House has put all of her foreign contacts at risk, such that the CIA is as angry at the White House as they are at the reporter to whom they gave the info. It doesn't take much imagination to realize that a person who has given their life for a career for their country might consider suicide if their country appears to turn against them. Their whole life can seem to appear worthless to them. In today's paper it reconfirms the idea that this was done to silence all officials who might be tempted to speak out against Bush's use of "sexed up" evidence that he thought he needed to back up the US led invasion of Iraq.

Was Dr Kelly - Vince Fostered?

Answer: Yes he was. Any doubts? Take his job and do what he did to the same people. The same thing with a different "M O" will happen. It is a sad state of affairs in the world today. Good people will continue to suffer and die to acheive the goals of the power elite.
