I feel SICK! And should I say - un-American?! As a former soldier I find it extremely distasteful of showing dead bodies throughout the media. The majority of the Iraqi people don't read or get TV - this is to show the world. NEXT? I'm waiting for the public executions as a new reality TV show........ That's my story and I'm sticking to it. If people don't believe these two are dead, a photo won't help, DNA may, but then they'll be mayrters for the cause. I'm extremely disappointed in our governments decission to run this.................

BTW, I do not think they should have shown the pics. However, as all the Wag the Dog detractors have pointed out, they would not believe it until they saw the bodies. Now they can see the bodies and they complain that they should not be shown.- Teenyuck

It was a four hour period, it wasn't constant fighting. It was slow and deliberate, escalated. Bullhorn announcement, try to enter, get shot out, with four wounded, hit it with small arms fire, grenades, etc, bring in TOW missiles, ten of them, very slow, very deliberate, very measured, avoiding collateral damage, try to enter again, get shot at, bring in helicopter, go in, still get shot at, kill the remaining person. SLOW DELIBERATE and SAFE!

Well, it really makes no difference to me either way.
I'm not here implying some sort of US gov't conspiracy, but IIRC, didn't Saddam and his sons have many body doubles anyway? Is it at least remotely possible that these two guys aren't Saddam's sons, and releasing photos really prooves nothing?
However, matching dental records and possible DNA confirmation is much more credible in my book (and the dental records have already been done. see: http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99993976 ).
But if people must see photos of guys.... .

Thanks for clarifying that, Yeru. That makes way more sense. The way it was portrayed in the news made it seem like it was a constant fire-fight. That didn't make sense to me.
