I remember when I attended the kingdum hall back in the 70s, there were talks given on falling into the "secret sin" of masturbation. Can anyone imagine having to give a talk like that? Sometimes it pays to be a cow, you poor bulls.

Has anyone here ever has to give such a talk in front of the whole congregation?

Just for the record. Fred Franz gave a talk like this in front of several thousand people in 53 or 58 at a NYC assembly. I forget which but I think Jim Penton mentions it in his book "Apocalypse Delayed". There are still people that remember Fred's intonation as he said "girls are like heifers in heat." My father was at first with fiancee (my mom) and at the second one with his wife (my mom). Must have been udderly embarrassing for both of them.

Not to spoil anyone's interpretation of "takes care of herself" but this expression was never used in that sense. It always meant take care of your thinking, your cleanliness, your morality, etc. Knorr used the same expression in his famous masturbation talk that he gave to all newbies at Bethel. "Take care of yourself so that you don't masturbate" was more likely the sense intended.
