It appears that the org.magnifies peoples paranoid tendencies. Think about what they tell the duds...that invisible creatures are running the world behind the scenes. That these creatures are super-human and very old and intelligent. And they want us to make God angry at us so He will want to kill us. So we mere imperfect children of Adam can not even figure out all the ways these creatures are trying to trick us. Only the J-dud Masters can see what is really going on. They will guild us. Follow them and they,(not Jesus) will lead us to salvation!

Perhaps its inbreeding, JW's have a finite number of potential mates, I'm kidding but the congregation I used to belong to is run by two dominant, large families and each family had a lot of kids who grew up and married each other. The congregation is completely interrelated and it has spread to neighboring congregations. These folks have to do some traveling to find a mate they are not related to. Makes my skin crawl.

The Amish have a problem with inbreeding, and as a result they have a problem with small heads and six fingers, the small heads are called microcephalis (I think) and I don't know if there is a name for having six fingers, but there you have it

INBREEDING the JW conditions may be called smurficalitilitis and towthelineoryouwillbedeadis, I prescribe some sort of ectomy, perhaps an organizationectomy.

I think I've mentioned this before, but the NSW Health Department have statistics which show that there is a greater incidence of mental illness amongst Dubs in NSW than in the general population.

Gosh I think I am more looney now than I ever was a jws.

I do think that discipline plays a strong roll and also the fact they can always blame Satan when things go wrong.

Nothing is the fault of the person or the way they were raised.

Personal responsibilty is non existant within the organization.

Therefore no one ever has a need to say I am sorry.

Get Satan to apologize it was his fault.

No, I noticed this as well. And I think it is partly because it is acceptable to BE looney in the org.

There were a LOT of nutty people--depressed, strange illnesses that no one has ever heard of, LOTS of low blood sugar, and lots of people who had very strange anti-social behaviors. I think people are drawn to this group because they can be anti-social and still be validated. In fact, they are going to be REWARDED for being strange. I remember being told that 'if worldly people like you, you need to reevaluate what you're doing wrong!".

p.s. Both me and my mother were diagnosed with clinical depression and taking medication while we were in. Funny, now that we're out, neither of us are depressed, and neither of us take any medication. Its like...MAGIC! heh.

All kinds of people join the JW's and yes so do loonies. Are there really a higher number of loonies in the org. than in the society? In a way every JW is strange to outsiders because they behave and act differently. In a way everybody is welcome at Kingdom Halls, so loonies could feel important and accepted there where as elsewhere they would be taken away.
