In case y'all missed it, not too long ago there was a super-long thread regarding a piece of cloth with certain colors on it. By the end of that thread, a new friendship was forged in the fires of JWD debate.

Now I've watched my new friend, someone who I've become very close to and care about a whole lot, walk away from this place with tears in her beautiful brown eyes. To be honest, I've thought about leaving this board myself.

But I'm not gonna do that. I'm gonna stay put right here until she comes back. And I'm not gonna be the old "gets along with everyone" Mike that your old buddy Bendrr used to be either.

I want my Stinkypantz back!!!!!!!

Mike, I followed that thread...a very vigorous discussion; at times, imho, a little too "vigorous."

That you forged a new friendship is imo the best possible outcome. Just think, if every topic on JWD resulted in just one new friendship...oh my, what a community we'd forge.

I, like you, have recently been sorely tried, and was on the verge of leaving. But, also like you, I decided to stay and "fight" for this incredible forum of friends. I can't tell you how good I feel inside to have shown the guts to stand up and be counted.

fwiw, I encourage you, and anybody else who's been "stressed" lately, to just take a step back and let the dust settle.
