They were right when they said "By their fruits you shall know them."

If growth is a sign of being right then look at the Catholic church. Just think about all the preaching they must have done to reach so many places.

Also, jw's have not grown aside from more or less the birth rate for about 20 years. They also have the biggest turnover of adherents of any religion according to pew.

As @stucky says they don't know what the trinity is.They are far from the first or only ones not to believe the trinity and besides the bible says we are supposed to be Witnesses for Jesus, not Jehovah. They have also changed their translation so Jesus is not called God. Check out witness for Jesus on YouTube, she's an exjw who explains the trinity well.

In an effort to increase the church membership, many Pagans were brought in and with the Pagans came Pagan ideas. Rituals began to replace serious Bible study and differences in opinion soon became the basis for growth of various creeds and sects. Over the span of many years, man-made rites became time honored tradition.

The Trinity snuck in there past the time that the writings known as the Gospels were already written. Credit for the term "trinity" is given to Tertullian who wrote it early in the 3rd century, and it became dogma between the Council of Niceae in 325 and the
    Council at Constantinople in 381.

    YADDA YADDA YADDA!!!

Generally speaking, the Governing Body is mostly right that the Trinity is not of the Bible and is born of pagan origins creeping into Christianity.

But the Governing Body and it's predecessors are guilty of doing the same thing- changing doctrines to gain membership. The end of this system coming within "a generation" and the no-blood policy were born to make the cult stand out.

Originally the Watchtower was undecided on the Trinity, with different views held by different writers. The current doctrine is simplistic and flawed. The Bible is supportive of Binitarianism, and there is logic behind the development of the Trinity. http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/trinity.php discusses this towards the end of the article.

Has the GB ever been right?

    No.

Denial of the Trinity and immorality of the soul did not originate with the WT. They are borrowed from and curremtly shared with other groups.

But let me tell you that every last doctrine that did originate from the WTS and or it's GB is extra-biblical.

I always want to challenge JWs to show me just one of their unique teachings in the Bible.

The JW preaching work is no evidence of anything.

    1) The Mormon Church originated around the same time as Russell's Bible Students, but has twice the worldwide membership today. Thus Mormons much have TWICE the blessing of the Holy Spirit!

    2) Ask any one of your friends or neighbors, "What is the religious message of Jehovah's Witnesses?" I wager that you'll get answers like, They don't believe in Jesus; They don't celebrate Christmas; They don't believe in doctors or medical care; or maybe, The End of the World is near!

The JW preaching is a complete failure!! Any sales department that is only successful 1/10th of 1% of the time would be tossed out on their ass. God should hire the ad agency that works for Budweiser. Budweiser sells 50% of all beer in the world!

JWs are a joke. They should be embarrassed, but they're not well enough informed to know how ridiculous they really are because they only get their information from JW-dot-borg.

Amen Stillin. The WTS has works [field service, d2d, buying publications and such], but no fruits at all.

Anyone name a WTS fruit?, Bueller, Bueller?
