I have
been out for so long, is the Tune the same as a JW one ? is it actually a JW Song with lyrics slightly altered ? if it is, this will be another source of income for the Org ! Expect more of the same in the future !

Yes it’s the JW song
How strange, does he know what he’s singing? What next, JWs on songs of praise?

Song 89 in the new song book.
"Song joyfully to Jehovah" in a church near you .

Indeed it is directly from the JW songbook. The only difference that he modulates to another key (F) in the last verse, which I actually like.
Surely the WT agreed to let him record it.

So, the org licensed this song to be used on an interfaith album??? A few years ago, there were a lot of threads and comments on this site about how the org was going more mainstream. I thought it had gone about as far as it was going to go, but I guess not. Dang, what's next?

Or the wt never had the rights to this song to begin with!

Remember when we were cautioned against remixing or recording our own versions of the Kingdumb songs?
Or the wt never had the rights to this song to begin with!
That's a real possibility. If that's the case you'd think they'd have prepared for this sort of thing. I mean, it's on a Christmas/Gospel choir album.
Isn't interfaith a disfellowshipping offense?
