I thought maybe you'd appreciate the fact that Saddam had signed an agreement that he would not have such an airforce available to him. So when asking for where the WMD are at you might think that maybe, just maybe, they actually exisit???? Maybe, just maybe, they are well hidden?

I must've missed that one. I thought that following Gulf War I, the U.S. established no-fly zones in northern and southern Iraq -- meaning that Iraqi planes (known to exist) were prohibited from having total freedom in Iraqi airspace. I mean... what was the reason for the no-fly zones if Iraq had no air force?

Never said that the WMD didn't exist. That is Simon's position, I believe. You have to admit though.... when it comes to finding evidence supporting Bush's allegation, things haven't (and don't) look very good.
Let's see, the Iraqi'a managed to conceal an air force in the desert without the Allies knowing about it. It's taken three months to find them.
If they can do that, then they can conceal WOMD's, which certainly wont take the same trouble or space. It's not difficult to figure out.
The anti-war crowd have been crowing about impossible it would be for Saddam to conceal WOMD's in the desert for months. This shows how ridiculous those claims are. Hence the sullen silence.

It doesn't appear that the airforce was available to him. If it was, he surely would have used it? So, the airplanes were underground. Most were not protected from sand and cannot be used again. Yeah, I can see where that's a big ol' threat.

I'm really shocked none of the anti-war crowd has claimed Bush planted them there himself, all to draw attention away from their not existing in the first place.
Just wait, when WMDs are found, that will be the claim by them.
How does the US know Iraq had WMDs? Because we kept the receipts!
Seriously, don't forget the US has been there only three months searching, but the UN was there before. No one has found any WMDs.
But Israel has WMDs (200 I think) against the law and won't allow UN inspectors in.
