Hanging out with JWs is exhausting!

  ToesUp - JW's are all about appearances and don't want anyone to think they are anything but the purest of the pure.

  Right on! I know that when these friends of mine were talking, they didn't think that they'd be "ratted out" on some minor details, and yet, they keep from sharing these little details. For instance, I know one guy in the group loved the "Sons of Anarchy" series. Yet, he would never tell that to to others in the group.

  Sure, its a "bad" show, but in most likely hood, you won't even get pulled in the back room for that. And yet, this, along with many other small little details that make up who he is cannot be part of conversations with his "real friends". He is too afraid of what they'd think about it.

  Yep...we had an Elder in our congregation banging a woman on the side but did not mention it to our friends who were being verbally and emotionally abused by him in their JC. lol

  I no longer have any friends in the cult but yeah it the same with my own family wife and kids. They still go to meeting and I don't. They have to watch what they say and will not bring up any JW or spiritual things. It is a bit crazy, it's also crazy that my wife's friends , some whom were mine can't go out and have a meal with me and my wife because I would be there and I'm evil being inactive and all.

  I attended a family event once where I was expecting mostly relatives and friends to be in attendance. I did expect a handful of Witnesses to be there, but discovered almost a third in attendance were witnesses.

  I felt I could let my hair down with everyone but the witnesses and avoided interaction with them as much as I could that night as had a skin full 🍻
