    Retractions? Sure... they print 'em all the time... they're called ``New Light"

    When I asked a Bethelite if the WT ever said they were wrong in print he told me they used "clarification" because it was a much stronger word.

    I think you may have misheard him, he probably said it was a longer word!

    Thank you, elsewhere, for the scan. I can't believe it really happened. I visited the Bethel (jw's headquarter) and saw how many inspections they go through before they publish the megazines. They can't say that it was "an error" in the printing department. They meant to put it and they changed their mind.

    I can't believe that I was a part of that cult.

    OHappyDay, you have pinpointed the crux of the matter. If the WT is imperfect, it should not demand that men follow them perfectly. There is no justification for disfellowship over confusion over "current light".
