Dr. Muzny has a CV posted online. However, I can't read it because it is in French, so I am not sure exactly what he was trained in at university. Interestingly enough, I found a website that says his Doctorate was in Philosophy! According to this website, he received his Doctorate in Philosophy from University Montpellier, France. It can be found here: http://prabook.com/web/person-view.html?profileId=488834

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on the SLIMY, SLIMY, SLIMY, Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses (tm) if his Doctorate degree is in Philosophy! For years they have DEMONIZED a college education especially BECAUSE you would receive an education in WORLDY PHILOSOPHIES that would draw you away from Jehovah. Now they are saying that because this man was trained in Philosophy, it DREW him closer to Jehovah! The HYPOCRISY of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses knows no bounds! Petr Muzny is a FOOL to be used as a SHILL for the 7 BOZOS of Brooklyn (soon to be BOZOS of Warwick).

Not to be unpleasant but this guy's no "law professor". In French un profeseur is merely a teacher. Ok he has a PhD, that May make him a Dr of Law, but not necessarily a professor. Where does this dude teach? It could be an adult education institute, the local community college as you Americans call it. Not putting anyone down who is a teacher, where ever they teach. Just saying. it's not beyond most people's Ken, given the time and money, to get a PhD. It certainly doesn't make him an "expert" in evolution.

But even a teacher at high school, teaching logic, would not make such a poor analogy ....effectively he used the old watchmaker on the heath and turned it into a bench in a forest. It's been utterly debunked by philosophers long ago. How can an expert in logic not know an undergrad example such as that.

I reckon he fell for one of his JW community college students ...and had to convert to marry her.well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

"If the law professor supposes that - then the law professor is an ass!"

He is a law professor at the University of Geneve, and from what I can see a pretty accomplished one, looking at his published work. Also pretty impressive that he has defended Jdubs in Human Rights courts regarding military service.

In any case, he should stick to law and stop talking about evolution.

He opens his mouth to spout on a topic far from his field of training and expertise - but, fear not, because he has the impressive ornaments of higher education, JW org milks this cow for all its worth .

Evidently, despite rubbishing it to the rank and file, higher education has its compensations. 🙄

Doctor of Philosophy is just the full form for Ph.D (Philosophiae Doctor}.

"Doctor of Philosophy is just the full form for Ph.D." - Mephis

Yes this is absolutely correct. In France a lawyer that wants to become a professor and teach law does indeed receive a Ph.D. degree. I have seen at least one of his papers translated into English and he is credited as having a JUDr. degree, which is not necessarily equal to a Ph. D. However, according to his 'testimonial' on JW.Org, he received his law degree in 2004 and according to prabook he received a Doctorate in Philosophy in 2005. Prabook could possibly be incorrect and this could be cleared up if someone could translate his curriculum vitae into English. He claims in the 'testimonial' that he is a specialist in law and logic and the JW.Org website even 'advertises' that "Petr is a specialist in human thinking". My contention is that besides having a law degree he may also have a degree in Philosophy and that the Governing Body (tm) is downplaying his Philosophy degree and 'up selling' his Law degree. Just my two cents in 'reading between the lines'.
