YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS UP: FINANCIAL HELP AND THE HAND OF JEHOVAH COMPLETE PROJECT
January 2016 JW Broadcasting..... video starts at 35:30
A local design construction department manager named Travis Brooks tells a story about a building project on the island of Yap, Micronesia. A small Kingdom Hall needs to be expanded because the facility wasn't big enough for those in attendance. Some members had no choice but to sit outside in the heat and rain, protected only by a tarp.
In order to make cement for the expansion, sand is needed for the mix. Yap does not have much sand available. The building committee decide to talk to local village chiefs to see if any of them would sell them sand in order to complete the project. Every village chief turns them down. The project comes to a halt. Without sand you cannot make concrete!
How does this project get completed? Jehovah is credited with delivering the needed sand by the means of a typhoon that misses the island but with the high winds and the churning of the water, sand is deposited onto the local streets. The local village chiefs tell the Witness construction committee they can have all the sand if they clear all the sand off the streets. The project gets completed.
