Could we ever see a GB member disassociate?

In the past individual Bible Students and groups did leave the WTS. But the WTS has strengthened their control over the congregations, instituted a strong DF policy. Why even inactive jws are labeled as bad association cutting them off from family and friends.

I rather doubt that you will see any of these men 'disassociate' themselves from 'mothers teat'. Where in the world could they get a secular job with pay commensurate to what they are receiving in 'benefits' as 'leaders' of the 'one true religion'? And besides that, what skills do these men possess that would be 'saleable' in the free market? They know which side their 'bread is buttered on' and they aren't about to give up their 'free ride'!

    Where else would they go?

Nope. As long as there are children to abuse and power to be had along with the luxury that comes with being a GB member then, not on your nelly.

These 7 deadly men are a new generation of despots.

I am convinced that all the people at the top (and more so as you get closer to it) do not care one iota about truth and honesty - they are there because they have shown a willingness to put the company first ahead of doing what is right.

You see it on a smaller scale at a congregational level - the people who get ahead and get promoted like the power and position.

I wouldn't hold your breath for anyone at the top having a crisis of conscience anytime soon - they have learnt to weed out anyone who is driven by a sense of "right".

It might not be a crisis of conscience but political maneuvering and maybe even a majority of the body choosing another member as a scapegoat. Once one or two GB members are scapegoated the remaining members could make a few changes that may quiet the dubs like blood, birthdays and 144k being figurative. They might see this as a way to reinvigorate the dubs into more donations and activity.

    Just thinking outside the box.

they are in it for life, just think how many ass's they have kissed, been bent over, toiled in their early years to reach the pinnacle of their jw careers to make the ultimate position , the power and prestige and the knowing they would be nobodies walking away from it.

Those men do not have integrity. No way will they give up their lavish lifestyle, adulation and worship.
