    Mine:

    1) Nobody has a the slightest idea of what the hell the Bible has to say. Nor can they agree upon such. So that makes pretty much anybody an "expert" as to what it has to say, and anybody can conclude as to what & how to apply such personal translation to their personal lives.

    2) These so-called Elders are "human".

    3) My dick is bigger than theirs.

Just put the elder in a burlap bag with some heavy stones, tie off the opening of the bag, and then toss in a deep pond. If the elder floats, then he does have holy spirit... because as we all know "spirit" refers to breath or air, and anyone with lots of air in them will float. If the elder sinks with the stones and drowns... well... he did not have holy spirit.

ROFLMAO!! Hey Elsewhere, if he floats, do they give him a Christian burial?

The only kind of spirit that the elders have an abundance of, comes in the form of a 60 ouncer.

Elders do not need to know the Bible all that much since the "Pay Attention" book is their real guideline. If you need a Biblical answer to a question, you must go elsewhere (and I don't mean the Poster).

Interesting thread. Elsewhere I bow down to you. Alfalfa had more intelligence than I do. ROFLMAO

    Minimus,

I have been thinking about your question for a couple of days. Yes, I actually do think once in awhile. That is when my brain explodes into nothingness.

    Now in Acts 2, it talks about Pentecost and the Holy Spirit. The people were were speaking in tongues but in Verse 16 it says: On the contrary, this is what was said through the prophet Joel. 17 says: "And in the last days," God says, "I shall pour out my spirit upon every sort of flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams;

I can't get my books right now but I also know that speaking in tongues and prophesying was done away with...forgot how that was manifest through the wt books.

    Prophesy

1 : to utter by or as if by divine inspiration
2 : to predict with assurance or on the basis of mystic knowledge

The fact that the society prophesied the end so many times and their predictions were null and void that shows me that the Holy Spirit was never a part of GB. If the Holy Spirit were working with the GB or elders they would not prophesy about things that were unpredictable as stated in 1Thess 5:2. Now had the prophesies been fullfilled we would not be sitting here on this website contemplating the usefullness or lack of it in our own lives because in essence non of us would have been born. So time and again we question the beliefs we hold.

So there is no way the GB or the elders have Holy Spirit. The "New Light" replaces the old prophesies to dispell the growing doubt among themselves.

When a person goes to a tarot reader they are getting predictions into the future, if those predictions are not correct they never go back to that tarot reader, why? Because obviously they had no connection.

If it is a good tarot reader the querent always goes back. I think tarot readers are more connected to the Holy Spirit than elders.

"I think tarot reader are more connected to the Holy Spirit than elders".....You win! That's the comment of the day!........I'm glad it took you 2 days to come up with that one! And you're right! And at least we know who the charlatans are from the beginning.

    Minimus,

I thought about the question whenever I thought about this site. Although in the last two days I have been making preperations for my daughters birthday party. I could not post my uninspired inspirations until now.

So you see it wasn't until after I finished the post I realized that last statement. So unfortuneatly it didn't take me two days to come up with that analogy.

I personally think this is a great question but the answer has not been forthcoming. Still waiting for the answer!

Here's ways to prove elders have no holy spirit.....They are guided by men, not God....They make mistakes that those under the influence of holy spirit couldn't make (like teaching that the "end" would come within a certain lifetime)......They live by rules and not the spirit of the Bible....They sometimes are appointed (supposedly) by holy spirit WHILE practicing a sin no one's aware of......They make different judicial decisions regarding the same types of sins while still relying upon the same spirit........Cat, perhaps you have holy spirit since you are now able to post "inspired inspirations".

Most want to be and are elders for the "prestige" and not because they love their god or their brothers.
