The -3.2% figure is the decline in number of US congregations, not KHs, although we can assume there is a relationship between the two numbers.

The Memorial attendance is pretty good most places, except the US where there was a small decline.

Nearly 1 million attended the Memorial in Zambia, out of a population of 17.9 million. Imagine being in a country where more than 1 in 20 people attend the KH in the night of the Memorial. The place must be buzzing. Considering JWs are non-political, in Zambia one wonders if there is much discussion about the level of JW adherence in the country and possible implications for democracy and governance.

While it's true that the number of JWs is declining in most of Eastern Europe, it’s worth bearing in mind that many of these countries also have declining populations.

But not Poland, where JWs have expericed sustained decline for years now.

OP total BS on your analysis. There is an obvious decline in that the increase is mostly from getting young ones to get baptized. The other country's that show an increase are poverty and uneducated where they dump not take in money. Then you have to take into account the cult lies. So if its showing this bad how bad is it really? They are pissing in your ear and telling you its raining if you buy that they are decreasing KH in US and UK and others and still growing. Its total BS. The cult will not be gone in the next 100 years I bet but it will drastically decline with the internet giving people the truth about the truth at their fingertips.

I think the there is a very different feel to the JWs in the developed countries vs the undeveloped countries. I have a family member living in an African nation, and their description is very different. A lot of it has to do with the abject poverty people are in, and they think that becoming JWs will make them rich, or at least more financially secure. The ones that get to Bethel there and get their monthly $100 allotment or whatever it is and a free place to live with healthcare think they have really hit it big. They even send money home to their family in the bush. Its a different world. Not good news for the WT society overall, as countries like this are a net drain on the finances, but in terms of growth of publishers, etc, they are growing with no sign of letup.

Personally I think the figures published are truthful. Remember every branch sends in the figures to head office, so if the published figures were regularly different to what had been sent in, a lot of rank and file witnesses at the branch would know about it. Many of the figures are showing a negative amount. It is happening where we would expect it to happen, namely in internet savvy countries. Also it makes sense that poorer less educated people with limited access to the net will still be growing. That is what is happening.

    Thanks Corney for doing that.

Did you notice that Macedonia seems to have disappeared?

Also the report shows each countries increase. But is that peak publisher increase or average publisher increase?

Remembering that last year they didnt show the average publishers by country. I tried checking the peak publishers figures, but it doesnt work out to what they say the increase is. Any thoughts?

Macedonia changed name to North Macedonia (and Swaziland too - now it's Eswatini).

If you mean figures in columns "% Inc. Over [previous year]", it's almost certainly average publisher increase.

    DROPOFFYOURKEYLEE:

I totally believe growth for the JWs is in places like Africa where a Western religion is seen as a meal ticket out of abject poverty..IMO, it’s probably really seen as a step up to prosperity (like ‘rice Christians’) - no matter what the deluded Witnesses who study with these people tell themselves ..Certainly, there is no money there.

The only contributions would be from Westerners and they are abandoning the JW religion!!.. The long term picture for the religion looks bleak even if they weren’t having all these lawsuits!
