Nebuchadnezzar's 37th year matches the year 588 or 568 BC?

All evidence for the period confirms that Jerusalem was destroyed in 587 BCE. The planetary observations are just one more means of confirmation, but poor ‘scholar’ rejects them by necessity.

The JW chronology is out of step with reality by 20 years, as independently determined by the Bible, Assyrian history, Egyptian history, Babylonian history, Babylonian financial documents, and the literal heavens. But ‘scholar’ will cling to mother Watch Tower.

He doesn’t care about the facts, just his religious dogma.

    Couldn't agree more Jeffro

Problem is he is siding with false prophet religious teachers (sinning apostates)

The fact is that if the Watch Tower Society announced tomorrow that Jerusalem was destroyed in a different year (like when they previously insisted it was in 606), ‘scholar’ would jump right on board. He doesn’t care about the facts, just his religious dogma.

Your comment is indicative of despair and desperation and fails to acknowledge that the said scholar loves facts and has no time for dogma.

Nonsense. All of the evidence: secular, biblical, historical and scientific points very clearly that Jerusalem was destroyed in 607 BCE.

WT/JW Bible Chronology has clearly demonstrated that the NB Period fails to account for at least a gap of twenty years as independently confirmed by VAT 4956 which has been hailed by WT critics especial SDA scholars and COJ as the cornerstone of NB Chronology.

The said scholar maintains his adherence to God's Word the Bible also championed by celebrated WT scholars.

Sounds like someone drank the Koolaid provided by the Watchtower Corporation and its sinning men.

If you really adhered to the bible you would have acknowledged Jesus's own words when he said that no one knows of the time not even he.

By the way he said that 500 years after the fall of ancient Jerusalem.

You adhered to the men running the WTS and their words instead.

Scholar, thanks for replying to my post

Even though you are clearly a troll and you may, or may not believe what you are saying, your answer gave me the info I need.

You have no understanding of astronomy and are simply parroting the erroneous view of the wt.

Your belief that because the moon is physically closer than the planets and therefore more reliable for astronomical observations is laughable and childish. Its like saying that the clocktower Big Ben in London is more accurate than a wristwatch because its bigger.

Just be honest, you are trolling us, right?

Captive of a concept, if ever I saw one. I am determined to defend the indefensible, even willing to be dishonest to back my argument, finding fault with scribes of long ago, attacking the majority of modern day scholars, and unable to realize when I am beaten.

Ironically he allocates himself the lofty moniker "scholar." I am in step, everybody else is out of step.... By the way, associating with a disfellowshipped person is in itself a disfellowshipping offense, is it not? Same goes for participating in an ex-JW message board. For such a great defender of JW theology, you are quite a hypocrite. I guess it goes with the territory.
